Hi everyone! I hope all of you are having a great weekend.
It’s been almost 2 months since my last post and I apologize to all of you
guys. I wasn’t lazy to make some blog post but I just wanted to focus on one thing
if I have started doing it so the lack of post.
I’m sooooo excited to announce that I graduated yesterday on
the Beauty and Fashion Hairstyling Course at HD Make-up Academy. Yes I finally
did it! I learned a lot of different hairstyles but I still need more practice. They say we have to master at least
5 hairstyles that we can interchange on different clients. But if I can do
more, why not right? Final pictures of the photo-shoot will come after a month
but I have few snapshots to show you guys.
Did I also tell you that I took their Beauty and Fashion
Make-up course? I bet not but I believe I gave a hint on my last update. Anyway,
I took the Make-up course in September and I graduated in October. I enrolled myself
in the weekend class just so I can have more time to practice what I learned
during weekdays.
I’ve been thinking about going to a Make-up school even before
I started to blog. But because I had a very difficult schedule when I was working
I didn’t have the time to do it. When I decided to leave my job I thought it
was the right time to pursue my dream and so I enrolled at HD Academy.
I searched a lot of Beauty schools in Manila. I’ve read good
reviews about HD from other beauty bloggers who also studied there. My mentors
were Jeave Gabiana and Stef Chua Sing. Words are not enough to thank both of
them for teaching us, their students. Learning wouldn’t have been this fun if
they are not the teachers. I had great times in school and I will surely miss
all of them. Until now I can still hear Sir Jeave’s voice when I am doing
make-up (hindi pantay, hindi pantay) laughs.
Both of them are very patient and they
have keen eyes to identify flaws on your make-up. They give comments and
suggestions so that you can correct your work and make it look better. It wasn’t
easy but it was fun.
Make-up school was full of fun experiences. I enjoy
being with people who have the same interest as mine. We show our make-up to
each other and talk about it. At first, I just really want to learn how to
properly apply make-up not only to myself but also to others. The school
exceeded my expectations; because of that I didn’t have a second thought to
enroll in the Hair Styling class. I decided to pursue my interest in make-up as
a career. This is what I love doing, there are still a lot of things that I
have to learn but I do believe that practice makes perfect.
Below are few of the photos I took in the shoot of the Beauty
and Fashion Make-up as well as the Hair Styling course. I hope you guys will
like them as I do.

ReplyDeleteHey there Yanny! HD Academy will give you a list of the things you'll need during the course. I advise you bring make-up including foundation, face powder, contouring powder, blush-on, lipstick, mascara eyebrow cake/pencil. Goodluck!
