Hello lovelies! Remember the small ELF haul I posted a week ago? I'm been using them since, so today I'll be reviewing the ELF Healthy Glow Bronzing Powder.
This is not the first time for me to use this product. I used it three years back thinking that it is a powder and I wondered why my whole face was glowing. Oh well...that's me just starting a relationship with make-up. I was in need of a highlighter to make my face glow when I'm wearing matte foundation. I searched online for an affordable one just so I can practice then I found good reviews on ELF Healthy Glow Bronzing Powder.
I got the color in Luminance which is lighter than my skin tone. This is supposed to be used as a bronzer given it's name but the light color makes it applicable to be use as a highlighter. It comes in a plastic packaging that doesn't look cheap to me at all, for its price I wouldn't ask for a fancy one. You can easily see the color on top, on the bottom is a sticker where the name of the color is written. I wouldn't mind as well if they will put something underneath to cover the adhesive. Opening it is a pain, I don't know...but I have to give force just to open it.
I use it mainly on the face just for a hint of glow. I put it on the bridge of my nose, my cupids bow, on top of my brows and on my cheekbone. The color is pigmented, one or two swipes are enough to get the natural glow I want. I wouldn't say I have a sun-kissed complexion after applying it, again I'm just using it as a highlight and not as a bronzer. It does blends easily on the skin, I usually use the contour brush from Charm for application.
I've been using it everyday and so far I'm loving the effect. I love the natural glow that it gives on my face. I am thinking of using it for summer but I also thought that a darker shade is better if I want a sunkissed glow. It doesn't stay on my face longer than 3 hours, because of my oily skin I need to re-apply at least twice a day. If I don't blot an oil control sheet I would look like a mine of oil. But given all that, I still love this product and will definitely repurchase.
