Review on St. Ives Apricot Scrub - Brightening

I've been enjoying better skin lately. I don't want to call my self vain but I'm really particular with the kind of product I put on my face. I make sure to follow the 3-step routine: Cleanse, tones, Moisturize. But twice a week I try to add another step which is to scrub.

There's a product that never failed me in brightening my face and making it feel clean and fresh. I've been using this product for almost a year and I never had any breakouts because of this. It's Ives Apricot Scrub, yes indeed. This was introduced to me by my classmate in college and fell in love with it from first use but never really had the chance to buy it. But now that I'm working, I don't mind spending few bucks as long as it will do good on my skin.

Here are the photos for you. Smile!

The packaging doesn't come cheap. It's in a squeeze tube so you'll have control of how much you want to use. It claims to brighten the skin, not tested on animals and 100 percent natural extracts which is good. Who doesn't like natural anyway? I love that it smells great even after washing the face. It smells fruity, I would say that it smells like lemonade. The tiny bits of apricot doesn't melt unlike other scrubs that I've tried before. I think that's the reason that it works in removing dead skin. A pea size amount can be used on the whole face and neck. You have to put it in an upward circular motion on wet skin.

Here are photos of how the product looks.

Have you tried this scrub before or any St. Ives product? Please share your thoughts.

New hauls for the week

Hello everyone! I've been really busy for the last few days but I'm back with something that really excites me. I bought a new brush, eyelash curler, BB cream and night cream. I know...I know there's nothing to be excited about these anymore but it's is my first time to try these products. Let me show you.

The famous Shu Uemura eyelash curler. After going out of Rustans, I still feel like was on clouds for having this.

One really great blending brush. The MAC 217 eye shader brush. Very excited to use this. I've heard great reviews about this. I'll let you know my thoughts in my upcoming blogs.

Here's something light on the skin. I heard BB creams can improve skin appearance and reduce fine lines. It's also a good thing that it has SPF30. It's for me to find out!

I'm excited about the result. I know it may take some time but I'm willing to wait if I'll look younger during my fifties.

Have you tried any of this? Please feel free to share your thoughts.

Milani Single and Quad eyeshadow

Hello pretties! How have you all been doing lately? I've been busy thinking if I should get a MAC eyeshadow palette or MAC brushes. But when I heard from youtube gurus that Milani have nice colors of eyeshadows which are pretty the same of MAC I went ahead and check google. Here are my top finds for you.

They call this palette Exotic Berries I think that it's because most of the colors in this quad have pink shades. I haven't tried wearing all of the colors from this one and I feel excited to show how it looks. I apologize if I'm not able to take swatches of this. My camera washes off the color when I took the pictures. My favorite color here is the second one from the first row. It has a nice silver color with a little bit of pink shimmer on it but not too shimmery.

Next is what they call Sedona Sunset. I can use it when I want that neutral eye look.

I also have few single eyeshadow. From left: Almondine, Sheer Sand and Desert Sun.

From Left: Illusion and Limbo Lime

I'm excited to use all of these colors on my eyes. Have you tried Milani eyeshadows? Let me know what you think about it and share.

Sincerely yours,

Joy :)

My other addiction: Prima Donna SHOES!

Hi guys! How have you been doing? I've had a really good week and I feel excited for the weekend. Not because something special is happening but because I'll be able to show the new pairs of shoes that I bought yesterday.

Me and my husband were walking around the mall to see where we can eat until I saw the new arrival sign at Prima Donna. They also have a promo, if you'll buy two shoes you'll pay 50% off for the second one. Realy good deal especially because this shoes have just stayed in their store for 2 days.

I didn't think twice, I went inside to check what I could get, because I really have plan of buying new shoes I told my husband that I'll be getting two pairs. I decided to look for something comfortable but not out of fashion. Knowing Prima Donna's new trend and style nowadays, I wasn't disappointed. I have other primma donna shoes which I bought two or three years ago and they still look good.

I tried different styles and was able to choose four. It was hard for me to decide which I would keep. But I went for something that I can wear while commuting from home to the office and which has a neutral color that I can pair with anything. Here are my picks. Each shoes cost P1,199.95 affordability and style together, who wouldn't like?

I hope you like them. What's your favorite shoes?

New make-up haul for the week

How have you been ladies? I attended a training yesterday then went to the office right after. I still feel like my body needed more time on bed but my mind wanted to share this with you and you know what happened next :)

I've been watching Kim Kardashian's make-up look lately. To tell you honestly, I'm a fan of her make-up, I personally love how she rocks smokey eyes and nude lips. I've been thinking how to create a great smoky eye, the one that looks just like hers. I hope I'll be successful (cross fingers).

Here are few make-up hauls during the week. I bought new lipstick shades from Avon UMR rose collection. I really love the color and npigmentation of these lipstick. I wanted to buy all of the shades but I thought that the other colors may not look good on me. Still thinking if I should get more.

I also got Tony Moly Crystal Eye Decorationin in Gold (P298.00). I use it on my inner tearducks to highlight my eyes.  I promise to write a review really soon.

What have been your make-up inspiration?
