Utility box from Daiso

Hello ladies! It's been raining like cats and dogs, I hope all of you are safe wherever you are.

Yesterday, my husband told me that we're going to Walter-mart to pick-up some items in Abenson. I knew Walter-mart has Daiso which sells products from Japan at a lower price, so right then and there I thought about my lipstick because they needed a new home.

We arrived in Walter-mart at 7pm, after checking few appliances and getting our items, we went out and I headed straight to Daiso which is just a few walks away. I checked few items but couldn't find what I was looking for until I saw this mini drawer standing on the back with the utility tools. I grabbed it right away, the size is just perfect for lip products and other stuff.

I got it for 88Php which is the same price with most of the products they're selling. It has three compartments where you can store your make-up or household stuff. I'm actually thinking of getting one for my Mom, she can use it to keep her sewing threads, pins and needles. Definitely a multifunctional product.

It is now located on my side table so I can easily reach for it when I am doing my make-up. I put eyeliner, lipliner and other items for the eyes and lips inside the top drawer.

Most of my lipsticks are inside the second drawer. You won't see my Nyx lipstick there because they are in the refrigerator! Yes, I put them there to prevent melting, though it's been raining this past few days.

You can find my foundations, primer, concealer and other face products on the 3rd drawer. I used to keep them in a small pouch from Tomato, I'm so happy because they still fit perfectly in this box :)

Now that's where I store my lipstick. Do you have a separate compartment for you lipstick or are they inside your make-up box? Let me know in the comment box below, I'd like to know where else we can keep them.

Till my next post!

Aido Classic Lipstick Review

Hello pretty ladies! Have you heard before about the local brand called Aido? I used to call it "I do" just because I want to make fun of myself and that makes the brand sounds a little bit more interesting hihihi.
I was checking Fashion 21 cosmetics because I needed to buy new powder foundation. I noticed the lipsticks from Aido sitting there on Fashion 21 stall, that's when I realized they don't have their own. I swatched some of the colors specifically the pink ones because I'm looking for another pink lipstick and the color that I want from Maybelline is not yet available here in the Philippines. Instead of just swatching pinks I found myself checking as well the other shades but I ended up buying the shades N, K and B. It  doesn't sound good when lipsticks are named by letters, don't you think?

The packaging looks like the old packaging of a lipstick that my Mom used to wear but it doesn't look cheap to me at all, in fact it reminds me Models Own lipstick. It's a transparent plastic with the tip of the lipstick peeking over the top, so I should be careful in closing it or else I might damage the tip. It glides smoothly and doesn't feel dry on my lips but I always put lip-balm before application. The ingredients are written on the tube as well as the manufacturing date.Take note that it has vitamin E that helps moisturize the lips. Though I can smell plastic when you put your nose really near but not when applying them. The smell is the same as the other local brand of lipstick that I know.

To tell you honestly, I was hesitant to buy these at first. I even ask the seller if it would darken my lips, she told me it won't... Sorry SA I was just being paranoid :)

Going back, K is a an opaque pink with a little bit of shimmer but almost not noticeable. It can brighten up my face with just two swipes. I think it would suit medium to light skin tone. If you want to wear it during the day, one swipe is enough because more than that is too much for a day look. It's a party color for me. Lip swatch below.

One swipe using K
The other color B is a shimmery pink. It's a doll pink with noticeable shimmer on it. It wears very frosty. My sister told me that it's hard to notice that I'm wearing lipstick on this shade because of the light reflecting shimmer and it has very light color, I can almost see the original color of my lips.

One swipe using B
N on the other hand is a peachy pink. It's opaque, one swipe will give the exact color on the tube. It will suit any skintone. My sister, who has darker skin than me also bought this shade and she likes it as much as I do.
One swipe using N

What do you think is my favorite shade?

I listed what I like and dislike on this product. Hope it helps.

* Pigmented - one swipe is enough to get the shade on the tube
* Price - 50Php per tube (beat that!)
*not drying on lips
*it has vitamin E
*lasting power (3-4 hours without eating)

-settles on fine lines
-has a plastic smell
-feels a bit heavy on the lips
-few color to choose from (less than 15 shades)

Have you tried Aido lipstick?

Nyx Round Lipstick in Paris, Pumpkin Pie and Louisiana

Hi Girls! I miss writing a post for you. Maybe most of you know that I'm working on a night shift that's why I seldom make a post during weekdays, the first thing that I want to do when I get home is sleep. But whenever I can I'll try to squeeze a post during weekdays.

I'm so excited to tell you guys that I just received the Nyx round lipsticks I ordered from Windy of Stuffinstyle.

I ordered the shades Paris, Pumpkin Pie and Louisiana. I was so tempted to buy Nyx lipstick and it took me forever to decide what shade because they have more than 140 shades to choose from. The color I choose are not available at Nyx store in Trinoma that's why I never had the chance to try them before I buy. I based my decision on reviews from other bloggers.

I so much love pink and I'm still in the look for that perfect pink for me. When I saw the swatches of Louisiana I didn't have a second thought and immediately included it on my list to buy. It's a loud pink color on the tube that screams PINK when worn. Yes! This is the color that I've been looking for and I'm so glad I found it at a reasonable price. Here are the swatches.

Paris is a pretty pink color with blue undertone it can be worn day or night. The color reminds me of Thalia but this one doesn't have a purple undertone. I have an NC20 skin and I find that this shade washes me out or maybe I'm just not used to wearing a light pink shade. Here are the swatches.

I've recently been trying nude lipstick. I thought before that I would never look good on nude because my lips are so pale and I don't want to look sick. But the adventurous me forget about it and tried some nude lippies at the counters of SM Department Store and I think that it doesn't look bad at all. I ordered a nude color called Pumpkin Pie. It has a little bit of peach undertone so it doesn't look totally nude on me unlike other nude colors that look like concealer when worn.I'd like to use it with natural blush and a little bit of brown eyeshadow and I'm good to go. I remember Jlo's nude lips with this color.

I love all of these shades and I still have more colors on my list that I should try. My top concern is it doesn't last on me for more than 3 hours even without eating, because the staying power is not good and I have to re-apply twice or thrice in a day one tube wouldn't last for more than a month on me.

Let me tell you, I used Paris last night but on the first swipe it bends on one side and on the second swipe it totally breaks on the tube. I have to push it back to its original place. I think I need to depot this one.

I listed the things that I like and dislike on these lipsticks. Hope it helps.

*Creamy - glides on lips easily
*Pigmented - coverage is medium to full
*Doesn't dry my lips
*Wide range of colors to choose from
*Packaging - the color and name of the shade is shown on the packaging
*Does not settle on fine lines

-It melts easily and breaks after a couple of use
-It has a soapy scent and smell

So that's it for now... Have you tried any of these shades? What's your favorite Nyx lipstick?

Love lots,

Ever Bilena Matte Lipstick

Hello ladies! It was a rainy Saturday night but I hope all of you had a good sleep because of the cold weather.

Today I will show you pictures of my new Ever Bilena Matte Lipsticks. I've read good reviews about them which got me curious. I have not tried any lipstick from this line yet but I do check them at Watsons and I have an Ever Bilena Pro Longwear Lipstick which I like. I'm not going to review them anymore but instead I'm going to show pictures and swatches of them. Please note that I am NC20 in MAC and I have oily-acidic skin so the lipcolor may come out darker on me.

Excited? Here are the pictures in a wink!

Off Beat Pink

Pink Flame
Toast of New York

I like all of these colors but I want to get as well the other shades. I always put lipbalm before applying them because my lips tends to get dry after a couple of hours. Also, they don't last longer than I wanted but I don't mind swiping again, that's my favorite part.

I hope you like them. Have you tried any lipstick from Ever Bilena?

My First Secosana Bags Purchase

Hello pretty ladies! It's the start of the week and I'm hoping all of you are having a great day.

I just want to share my first purchase of Secosana Bags. I've seen a lot of women wearing bags from Secosana and because of that I tried to keep away from the brand thinking that I'll bumped with a person wearing the same bag as mine. But yesterday, My husband and I went to SM North for the 3-Days Sale and oh  my! Most of the items are on 10%-50% off. Not only that, new items that are being sold at it's regular price during weekdays are also on SALE!

I planned on buying a new bag so I checked around the Department store to see what I can get. I then saw the sign from Secosana showing 50% off of their Bags on display. I checked all colors and designs before I decided what to buy (I actually get my Moms' opinion before buying the bags).

Here are the photos.

I got this for P690 (regular price P1399.75)

I got this for P650 (regular price P899.75)

Don't they look pretty? I feel very happy for these purchases, imagine me smilling throughout the day because of these bags.  I chose them because of the design and I haven't own a red bag, second is because of their huge compartment.

I'm a person who like to put everything inside my bag so these are just for me.
Are you like me who likes bringing big bags? Bought anything from Secosana lately?

Thank you for reading!

Maybelline Clear Smooth B.B Stick

Hi Lovely ladies! It's been weeks or month since my last post, I've been pre-occupied with a lot of things but I always kept thinking about this blog and my readers. It's a sunny Thursday today and I'm hoping all of you are having a good day. I can't believe how time pass by so fast.
Today I'm going to review a product by Maybelline called Clear Smooth B.B Stick. I've had this for more than a month and I use it when I'm going to the mall or just at home.

I saw this babe when I was already making a payment at Watsons. It got my attention because I've never seen a B.B Cream made just like this. I know BB creams are in liquid form like foundation and I've seen a foundation stick but not BB Stick like this one.

Maybelline claims:

Clear Smooth BB Stick is a multi-benefit product that combines the benefits of skin care, make-up, and sun block in a stick. It contains salicylic acid that helps clear away pores and imperfections, and mineral clay that helps control shine all day. Dermatologically tested. Recommended for oily or combination skin. Suitable for sensitive and acne-prone skin.

  • Controls shine - Mineral clay formula helps keep skin shine-free all day
  • Lasts all day - Powder finish resists sweat and sebum for up to 12 hours
  • Clears - Reduces the appearance of dark spots, redness, fine lines, and wrinkles
  • Refines - Reduces the appearance of pores
  • Conceals - Instantly hides flaws and imperfections
  • Evens - Corrects uneven skin tone
  • Smoothens - Makes skin feel smooth, soft, and supple
  • Protects - SPF 21/PA+++ protects against harmful UVA and UVB rays
Who wouldn't like the 8-in-1 benefits?

The packaging is simple which has the information about the product on the back. I got the shade called Radiance which suits my skintone. The other shade is called Fresh which is lighter on my skin.

I immediately tried it on my face when I got home. I put it directly from the stick on to my face after washing, toning and moisturizing. I have oily skin that's why I didn't have a hard time blending it. I used the elf powder brush and my fingers for blending. It blends on my skin perfectly and I didn't look like I have anything on my face but I always put powder to set. It feels powdery on the skin after blending so I think it would suit girls with oily skin than dry. Girls with dry skin can still use it but a moisturizer is a must! It lightly covers dark spot and blemishes. The produstc stays on my face for 2-3 hours which is not bad if I'm just going around the mall or will just have lunch with my husband.

Overall, I like the Maybelline Clear Smooth B.B Stick. I use it on days when I want my skin to breath or if I didn't want to put foundation. It's very convenient and easy to cary around.

The Maybelline Clear Smooth BB Stick is available at watsons and any Maybelline stall for PHP249.00
