Learning is Fun at HD Academy

Hi everyone! I hope all of you are having a great weekend. It’s been almost 2 months since my last post and I apologize to all of you guys. I wasn’t lazy to make some blog post but I just wanted to focus on one thing if I have started doing it so the lack of post.
I’m sooooo excited to announce that I graduated yesterday on the Beauty and Fashion Hairstyling Course at HD Make-up Academy. Yes I finally did it! I learned a lot of different hairstyles but I still need more practice. They say we have to master at least 5 hairstyles that we can interchange on different clients. But if I can do more, why not right? Final pictures of the photo-shoot will come after a month but I have few snapshots to show you guys.

Did I also tell you that I took their Beauty and Fashion Make-up course? I bet not but I believe I gave a hint on my last update. Anyway, I took the Make-up course in September and I graduated in October. I enrolled myself in the weekend class just so I can have more time to practice what I learned during weekdays.
I’ve been thinking about going to a Make-up school even before I started to blog. But because I had a very difficult schedule when I was working I didn’t have the time to do it. When I decided to leave my job I thought it was the right time to pursue my dream and so I enrolled at HD Academy.

I searched a lot of Beauty schools in Manila. I’ve read good reviews about HD from other beauty bloggers who also studied there. My mentors were Jeave Gabiana and Stef Chua Sing. Words are not enough to thank both of them for teaching us, their students. Learning wouldn’t have been this fun if they are not the teachers. I had great times in school and I will surely miss all of them. Until now I can still hear Sir Jeave’s voice when I am doing make-up (hindi pantay, hindi pantay) laughs.  Both of them are very patient and they have keen eyes to identify flaws on your make-up. They give comments and suggestions so that you can correct your work and make it look better. It wasn’t easy but it was fun.
Make-up school was full of fun experiences. I enjoy being with people who have the same interest as mine. We show our make-up to each other and talk about it. At first, I just really want to learn how to properly apply make-up not only to myself but also to others. The school exceeded my expectations; because of that I didn’t have a second thought to enroll in the Hair Styling class. I decided to pursue my interest in make-up as a career. This is what I love doing, there are still a lot of things that I have to learn but I do believe that practice makes perfect.

Below are few of the photos I took in the shoot of the Beauty and Fashion Make-up as well as the Hair Styling course. I hope you guys will like them as I do.

I also wanted to say Thank you to my models Milky Santiago and Anne De Leon. You guys nailed it!
Till my next post everyone. Enjoy!

My First Secosana Bags Purchase

Hello pretty ladies! It's the start of the week and I'm hoping all of you are having a great day. I just want to share my first purchase of Secosana Bags. I've seen a lot of women wearing bags from Secosana and because of that I tried to keep away from the brand thinking that I'll bumped with a person wearing the same bag as mine. But yesterday, My husband and I went to SM North for the 3-Days Sale and oh  my! Most of the items are on 10%-50% off. Not only that, new items that are being sold at it's regular price during weekdays are also on SALE! I planned on buying a new bag so I checked around the Department store to see what I can get. I then saw the sign from Secosana showing 50% off of their Bags on display. I checked all colors and designs before I decided what to buy (I actually get my Moms' opinion before buying the bags). Here are the photos. I got this for P690 (regular price P1399.75) I got this for P650 (regular price P899.75) ...

Milani Single and Quad eyeshadow

Hello pretties! How have you all been doing lately? I've been busy thinking if I should get a MAC eyeshadow palette or MAC brushes. But when I heard from youtube gurus that Milani have nice colors of eyeshadows which are pretty the same of MAC I went ahead and check google. Here are my top finds for you.  They call this palette Exotic Berries I think that it's because most of the colors in this quad have pink shades. I haven't tried wearing all of the colors from this one and I feel excited to show how it looks. I apologize if I'm not able to take swatches of this. My camera washes off the color when I took the pictures. My favorite color here is the second one from the first row. It has a nice silver color with a little bit of pink shimmer on it but not too shimmery. Next is what they call Sedona Sunset. I can use it when I want that neutral eye look. I also have few single eyeshadow. From left: Almondine, Sheer Sand and Desert Sun. From Lef...

Nichido Length and Curl Mascara

I have used this Mascara  for half a year so now I think it's time to bring this baby to the spotlight. Here is another review from a local brand Nichido, this time it's a mascara. I was browsing through racks and racks of make-up looking for a perfect mascara that I can wear everyday. I don't want to spend too much for a mascara because they tend to dry up fast, that's base on experience from other mascaras I've tried. I was checking Nichido counter when the SA approached me. She gave me several mascaras to choose from. Others are just not for my liking because it doesn't hold curls or it make my eyelashes clumpy and heavy after application. She told me to try Nichido Length and Curl Mascara. She got me when she said that it doesn't  clump eyelashes and it won't dry fast. I gave it a try and I like it. It holds curl and gives additional length to my eyelashes. It has small hairs that would stick to your eyelashes for added lenght but I haven...
